Prog Rock Artist, Singer, Keyboardist, Songwriter, Producer
Jamison Masters, a Minneapolis-based prog rock artist, weaves intricate harmonies, bold rhythms, and introspective lyrics into songs that deeply resonate. A singer, songwriter, and keyboardist, he channels a lifetime of sound into original tracks that bridge classic and prog rock energy with a modern edge.
Jamison began classical piano at five, violin at ten, and honed his voice singing and harmonizing with his family. Inspired by 1970s rock giants like Rush, Styx, and Yes, he formed his first band at sixteen. By the late 1980s, he led Equinox, a trio blending his keyboard wizardry and vocals with drummer Eric Althaus and guitarist Lonnie Melland. Their 1994 album, Color of Time, soared to #19 on Japan’s rock charts, earning Gold status alongside other major rock acts of the era.
After a 30-year hiatus to raise a family and build a business, Jamison reignited, driven by his undying passion to create music. In his Minneapolis home studio, he’s finalizing CATHARSIS, a forthcoming album release exploring loss, surrender, and renewal with creative time signatures and captivating melodies. Music is life is music. Join his journey. #ProgRock
